Alive Halifax the denominational Women’s conference took place Friday and Saturday at Hillside Parkway campus. God’s presence was evident and experienced throughout the weekend. 80+ in attendance from churches in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. A great turn out. The worship was provided by Deep Water; Keynote speakers: Bianca Olthoff, Jo Saxon and Dr. Jo Anne Lyon (by livestream) Robin Churchill (RCMP) did an interview on Human Trafficking Awareness. The weekend was a great experience. Leadership was shared by Pastor Marilyn Mansvelt (Cornerstone) Amanda Oicle (Deep Water) and Pastor Sharon Guptill (Hillside). Thanks to the Halifax churches for helping out.
I was honoured to be a part of a Dragon’s Den program on Saturday evening that interviewed three teams from Kingswood University as they presented their plans for church planting in Trois-Rivières, Quebec; Toronto, Ontario; and Seattle, Washington. Excellent work by all teams. Very energizing. Thanks to Mark Parker and Steve Elliott for putting this together.
