Monday Again
A DAY WITH CAREY is next week – Friday the 20th. Will be a great day. Pumped.
- I chaired a meeting on Monday in which the LBA at Saint John First – sj1 – voted unanimously to recommend Seth Fancy to the congregation as their Lead Pastor.
- Nackawic voted unanimously yesterday to approve the LBA recommendation to place Pastor Ryan Farrell on an extended call.
- I chaired a meeting of the LBA at Kentville New Hope yesterday in which they unanimously renewed the extended call of Lead Pastor Scott Prime.
- Seal Cove voted last Sunday to recall Pastor Ward McComiskey for a two-year term.
- Pastor Bill Lea resigned yesterday at West Head.
- Pastor Jacob Ebbett resigned yesterday at Havelock, NB.
- Peter and Cathy Hayes recently were in Indianapolis for an initial interview with Global Partners as they explore the possibility of missionary service.
- Amherst and Blacks Harbour both interviewed potential pastoral candidates last week.
I was at Crossroads Wesleyan in Lower Sackville yesterday morning. Pastor Michael Zottarelli resigned a few weeks ago and we considered possible options going forward for this small congregation. No decisions made and the DBA will have the matter on the agenda for our spring meeting next week.
Congratulations to our own Mark Gorveatte who was elected District Superintendent of the Indiana Central District at a reconvened district conference held in Indianapolis last Saturday. Mark will assume his duties in late June. We wish him the Master’s very best in this new assignment.
The mission team to Nicaragua that came from our churches in Truro and Blacks Harbour has returned home safely. The team to Haiti from Crosspoint is also back safe and sound. Have you been on a missions team trip?
