Monday Again
IMA has usually taken a break during Beulah Family Camp, but there is much to highlight. Several photos of opening weekend activities will appear below.
Saturday included a giant flea market, bouncy castles for the kids, free gospel mini-concerts in the afternoon, an evening BBQ with choices of chicken, pulled pork or sausage with strawberry shortcake for dessert. This was followed with a full Tabernacle for a Mark Lowery concert. The day ended with a first-class fireworks show on the river.
Many thanks to Don Ingersoll for being the dreamer and driver that made this happen and to the army of volunteers that helped. What a day!
Yesterday launched the camp meeting proper with a house full to share in powerful worship led by Kelly Jay and “right on” messages from Moe Diggs. Looking forward keenly to the rest of the week.
A highlight of the day yesterday was the dedication of the Mullen Heritage Archives to be housed in the former Jones Cottage. If you are on the grounds this week, be sure and check it out from 3-4 each afternoon beginning tomorrow.
- The funeral of Rev. Stewart Steeves will be held today in the Tabernacle at 3 PM preceded by visitation from 1:00-2:30.
- Sympathy is extended to Rose Tatton – Pastor Doug’s wife – whose father Ivan Guthrie passed away last week. His funeral was on Saturday at the Seal Cove Baptist Church.
- Pastor Bradford Jordan was married to Olivia Sleeper on July 1st @ KU Chapel. Bradford hails from Moncton Wesleyan Church and Oliva is from Caribou and her family attends Presque Isle Wesleyan. Congrats to newest newly weds in the tribe! You’ll see them around Beulah this week and YES they are still accepting wedding presents 🙂
- This will be my last IMA. Thank you to the several hundred of you who faithfully read each week. It has been a joy to connect in this way every Monday morning. Keep watching for what the new DS will be sending – it will be great!
