Monday Again
Under Peter’s direction and at our request, Lawrence and Vesta Mullen, our Beulah/District historians, have been doing video clips at various places on the camp grounds. These clips will capture significant historical snippets and will be available online later. Thanks to the Mullens for so kindly assisting us in this way – deeply appreciated.
Congrats to Bradford and Ashley Rogers on the safe arrival last week of their daughter Hazel Grace. Bradford serves as Assistant Pastor at Halifax Deep Water.
- Peter was at Saint John First – sj1 – yesterday to install Graham Perry as their new pastor and Gloria and I were at Blacks Harbour to install Greg Card. We began our ministry in Blacks 45 years ago this month – many great memories.
- Kings Church held a two day spiritual retreat for their staff at Beulah last week.
- Maple Ridge baptized 8 last week and Pastor Nick Graham had the privilege to baptize his two daughters – what a blessing!
- Yesterday, Crosspoint baptized 11 in the Nashwaak River and Pastor Mark Brewer had the privilege to baptize his two daughters – what a blessing! Pastors baptizing their own children – an incredible passing of the faith to the next generation.
- John Lamos has worked at Beulah all summer and his fiancee Jesse Churchill has worked at Caton’s. A pot luck in their honour was held at Beulah on Wednesday evening with more than 70 in attendance. Great evening – congrats.
- NB Christian Ashram held their summer event on the Beulah grounds this past weekend.
- Peter met with LBA’s last week at Brazil Lake and West Head in response to invitations from the pastors concerning the possibility of the Maximizing Impact team coming to their churches. I will be holding a similar meeting soon with the LBA at Havelock, NS.
- Speaking of MI weekends – two coming up this fall – Perth-Andover on Sept 23-25 and Sussex on October 14-16. Anticipating……
- Word just received that Pastor Andrew Maves dad passed away earlier today. His father was a long term fully devoted follower of Christ. Please remember Andrew and the family in prayer at this time.
Patrick Lencioni spoke at the GLS last week on the Ideal Team Player – a person who is Humble, Hungry and Smart as in people smart. Then there are the others – the Charmer, the Accidental Mess Maker, the Loveable Slacker and the Skillful Politician who do not make ideal team players. Good fodder for thought……..
