Monday Again
Among the many things to be thankful for this Canadian Thanksgiving weekend is an amazing gift to the ministry of Caton’s Island. The Vineyard in Quispamsis recently closed and are gifting their assets to bless other ministries, including Caton’s. We received their cheque for $40,000 last week – outstanding – and at Thanksgiving time no less!
NOTE: The district office will be closed today for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen tomorrow.
The inauguration of Dr. Stephen J. Lennox as President of Kingswood University will take place in the Saunders Irving Chapel this Friday, October 16th at 7 PM with the Inaugural Address being delivered by our General Superintendent Dr. Jo Anne Lyon. I hope many of you will join me for this very significant occasion as Dr. Lennox is inducted into office and commissioned with the Kingdom-impacting task of leading our university.
A great word from Pastor Don Ingersoll last week: “Big day today here. Attendance for our AM country gospel concert was 329 and we had about 240 people stay following church for a full dinner…..lots of excitement …..nice to see the place filled. Most guests we’ve seen on a Sunday AM yet.” – Onward and upward.
Look who dropped by the office last week. He brought his parents and one of his grandpa’s with him – welcome Micah Andrew Perry.
FOLLOW 2015 – 96 signed up from our district – may be the largest ever registration. Will be days of high spiritual impact.
Pastors – be watching this week for final details on next week’s district ministerial. Near 100% response. Looking forward to our time together.
Wednesday of this week – the 14th – Pete Benson will be giving his 90 minute Financial Roadmap talk at Moncton Wesleyan at 7 PM. Several folk at Beulah last summer wanted to know when Pete was presenting in our region. All welcome.
