Monday Again

One of the once-in-a-lifetime events at Beulah 2015 will be the dedication of and open house at Heartland – the property so generously donated to the district by Mrs. Jean Irving. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th at 2 PM.

Don’t miss the special family focus afternoon on July 4 at 3 PM in the Tab followed by a BBQ at 5PM – a great afternoon for the kids and grand kids.

Pastors/Ministers – several of you have not filed your Annual Service Report – it’s time! Thanks to the many of you who have filed. If you have not done so, go to the online pastor portal or call Karrilee at the Beulah office – 506-468-2286 – for assistance. Today would be a good day…..

Gloria and I were honoured to visit with Nick and Beth at the VG in Halifax yesterday. He is doing extremely well following his liver transplant and expresses deep appreciation for the strong prayer support from the tribe. Peter as well as a number of our local area pastors have also visited and Nick and Beth are keenly aware of our love and support for them.

ATTENTION – Ministers in Maine – Headquarters has arranged a Group Health Insurance Arrangement with GuideStone, a large and highly regarded organization. This is a US focused item and if you are presently serving in ministry in Maine, this is definitely worth investigating.  Go to www.wesleyan.org and you will see the GuideStone item covered in detail – check it out.

  • Peter was in St. Johns over the weekend as we continue to work toward launching the UTR – Upon This Rock – church planting thrust.
  • I met with the LBA at West Head on Saturday afternoon. Very good meeting and they have issued an invitation to a pastoral candidate. Full details next week.
  • I was present yesterday morning for the closing service at Crossroads Wesleyan in Lower Sackville. Pastor Mike Zottarelli did an excellent job in addressing the group. Founding Pastor Charles Bain and his wife Ruby, who served faithfully there for 19 years, were present as well as a number of people who had been part of the church across the years.
  • Gloria and I also had a great visit with John and Willo AnnSymonds in Yarmouth and also stopped by Shelburne to consider next steps there.
