It’s Monday Again … Again

In 48 hours we will celebrate once again the greatest gift ever given. Debby joins me in sending sincere best wishes for a marvelous Christmas season. If sorrow or heartache are robbing you of the joy this Christmas, may you sense a special nearness of the King who arrived so long ago in a borrowed manger.

Earlier this month the Beulah and Caton’s employed staff and their spouses gathered for a Christmas appreciation dinner hosted by Executive Director Tami Mutch-Ketch.  Great evening with a high quality group of folk who are so vital to our ongoing camping ministry. One of the benefits of being Acting DS is that Debby and I got to go to this event!

Help vulnerable children gain access to equitable health care!

This Christmas season, your donation will be doubled up to our $25,000 goal!

Illnesses that would be easily treated or are uncommon in much of the world continue to cause misery and unnecessary deaths among the most vulnerable. Your gift to The Hope Fund today means children will have hope for healthier lives tomorrow.

Give Here to Help

Tidal church (Moncton) has launched a debt elimination campaign to pay off their 1 million dollar mortgage by Feb 2026 when the mortgage is up for renewal. A major gift of 250K was matched by a committed group for another 250K so that 500K is already committed. Debby and I were present the day that Pastor Jim presented this to the congregation with an appeal, that in the 60 weeks between now and Feb 26, the remaining 500K will be raised. Successful completion of this will free up the monthly mortgage payment of 40K to be used in direct ministry support and outreach. Onward and upward.

As families gather and loved ones exchange gifts and consume great food, please enjoy the warmth that is uniquely present in the Christmas celebration of fully devoted followers of this Christ child. Take a moment to offer a prayer for those who never experience this depth of joy due to life realities and crushing circumstances of one kind or another – the things we take for granted that many must do without.

Debby and I will be in Calgary spending Christmas with that portion of our blended family. As an old friend used to say – have a Cool Yule!

Onward and upward,
