Five Baptisms @ Beulah Family Camp 2023!
Our first truly post-pandemic return to this historic event for our Atlantic Tribe is now history. So much to celebrate – especially the five baptisms on the Beulah beach – PTL!
  • One of those (not pictured above), was the impromptu testimony of Seth Hayes, the youngest son of Peter & Kathy Hayes (Solid Rock), by his father. A powerful and touching reminder to us all in Kingdom leadership that family is first ministry!

Praise God for the “five reasons” we celebrated at the Beulah Baptism this week! And speaking of reasons to celebrate…
Five baptisms celebrated transformed lives this Sunday on Grand Manan @ Lighthouse (John Lamos)! That’s a total of eight people baptized since spring – PTL!
  • John was featured this week by the Canadian Church Leaders Network (CCLN) – a ministry that amongst other things, invests in emerging Kingdom leaders across Canada.
CLICK HERE to read all about it and to be inspired by the eight-minute testimony of how God has been at work in John & Jesse’s ministry life and marriage.
“Revive Me, O Lord!” is our Beulah summer theme – and the evidence of His work during BFC was easy to see. Multigenerational transformation at the altars, thriving and quality ministry in discipleship for our kids and teens all week long, bee-hive connections of sweet and rich fellowship such as Evening-on-the-Boulevard (bottom picture).
  • The ministry of Moe Diggs & Andrea Summers was timely and substantive – a life-changing reminder of Dr. Lyon’s recommended reading that a week of Camp Meeting “…forms Christians is a deep way.”
The Kingswood Learn Workshop (middle right pic) with Darren Campbell & Steve Lennox took an innovative and inspiring dive helping pastors and lay leaders see how this resource can serve their Meductic Mandate as we believe God for 400 Leaders by 2027.
The Caton’s Island Rededication of the Choate Dining Hall upgrade was a huge success. 399 guests were shuttled to the island for the ribbon cutting ceremony and Tami’s appreciation speeches to Greg Walton & Phillip Hayes for their expertise in seeing this vision become reality. Special thanks to Brian Murray who served as project manager over the years.
  • And as the vision God gave Director Dean Stephenson continues for 2,025 campers by the summer of 2025, the NEXT major capital upgrade for Caton’s Island was unveiled (bottom pic). Stay tuned for ways to invest in the thousands of transformed lives ahead!

The Choate Dining Hall made history this weekend with triple-threat testimony at the annual BFC Men’s B’fast on Saturday. One hundred men gathered to hear the story of how God stokes generational fires of faith as The Word was delivered by Rev. Fred Whittey (grandfather and father-in-law), Rev. Scott Prime (son-in-law and father) & REV. Samuel Prime (grandson & JUNIOR PRIME)!

While the Connexion is not a personal newsletter, I need to highlight two moments of impact on my soul at this event…

  • I gathered with a “band of brothers” for prayer (middle left) as we exited the Island that morning. It was so encouraging to hear the passion for God in the hearts of these young men in the spiritual leadership of their families.
  • I also had the privilege of forming a new relationship with Darcy Russell – a passionate brother in Christ. And I captured the very moment that Darcy stepped foot on Caton’s with Director Dean Stephenson for the very first time as we headed to the men’s b’fast.
This is WHY God has given us a world-class camp ministry to steward as we partner in unleashing churches for transformed lives!

70 Years of Ordained Ministry – Dr. Laurence & Vesta Mullen
Our annual Ordination Service is always the highlight event of our District calendar. And July 14th was no exception. Four new Kingdom leaders joined the ranks of our Ministerial Tribe…

  • Rev. Samuel J. Prime (Deep Water)
  • Rev. Sharon Simoneau (Westchester)
  • Rev. Jennifer White (Solid Rock)
  • Rev. Sheryl A. York (Amherst)

We celebrated the decadal milestones of Ordained Ministry to give honour to the following Kingdom leaders…

40 Years – Rev. Rod Guptill, Rev. Dr. David Higle, Rev. Dr. Steve Lennox, Rev. Dale MacDonald, Rev. Wayne Robertson, Rev. Dr. Janet Starks, & Rev. John Symonds. It is required that a servant be found faithful, these names standing represent 280 years of anointed & faithful Kingdom leadership.

50 Years – Rev. David Ingersoll & Dr. HC Wilson

60 Years – Rev. Charles Bain & the 60th Anniversary of the ministry of Rev. Sheila McCrea-MacCallum.

70 Years – Last but not least – the Rev. Dr. Laurence K. Mullen (only the 3rd to achieve this milestone in our 135-year history).

The King’s Highway – Copies Requested
We share a long tradition of connection in our tribal ethos. The King’s Highwaywas first published in November of 1890. Our Assistant Curator of the Mullen Heritage Archives, Rose Staples (rosestaples@gmail.com), would gladly receive donations of copies of this denominational publication. There are a few gaps in our permanent records so if you have an old box with some in your attic – feel free to contact Rose and she will coordinate your donation. Other historic Reformed Baptist items may also be considered on a case by case basis.
  • I don’t want to get out of the way, I want to be in the room when God moves by His Spirit. (Andrea Summers)
  • Unforgiveness is a deadly emotion. Forgiveness doesn’t mean that was done to you is right, it makes you right and to let go of those who have wronged you and put them in God’s hands (Moe Diggs)
  • Not all pulpits are made out of wood. (Darren Campbell)
