A Record Year of Baptisms!

Kings (Brent Ingersoll) celebrated 52 baptisms this weekend – PTL! Over the past 13 months, 362 have entered the sacramental waters across five locations – amazing! Every number has a name, and every name has an eternal story of transformation. This Sunday AJ & Shea Guptill had the joy of baptizing their daughter Eden (pictured above) Nothing is sweeter in Kingdom leadership – congrats to the Guptill family!

Sabbatical Announcement
Skip to Upcoming Events below for the full details. Effective this Friday, December 6th through the end of January, Dr. HC Wilson has graciously accepted the offer of the DBA to serve as Acting DS while I am on sabbatical.

A couple of logistical items:

  • Due to the Canada Post strike, there will be a delay in the delivery of the annual district cards for our retired ministerial family.
  • The Atlantic Connexion will be on hiatus until early February (with a bonus note or two from Dr. HC over the next couple of months).

Ellen & I would like to wish you all a belated Thanksgiving, a meaning-filled Advent, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Browns Flat Fellowship Is Growing

This fall Browns Flat Fellowship (Jay & Sharon Guptill) has been hosting one service per month at The Hub in the community centre. One service had a high of 140 present with an increasing number of families who do not reside at Beulah Camp who have been attending.

  • This past Wednesday, I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with our BFF family as we discussed the symbiotic relationship of this nearly 20-year-old blessing to our camp and the community of Browns Flat.

These are encouraging days and we are blessed by the Guptills’ leadership as they continue to build Made for More Ministries and serve as our District Clergy Care Coordinators.

Caton’s Leadership @ CCI

This week, Caton’s Island was proudly represented at the Christian Camping International (CCI) – Canada bi-annual conference in Montreal by Director Dean Stephenson, Food Services Manager Jennifer Arsenault, and Executive Director Tami Mutch-Ketch.

  • The conference offered an invaluable opportunity for learning, networking, worship, and collaborative problem-solving, all of which have equipped the team with fresh insights and strategies in preparation for the 2025 camping season.

Kingswood University
Presidential Search Committee

The KU Search Committee has been hard at work over the past few weeks and we appreciate the prayers and support of our Kingswood stakeholders during this critical season of transition.

The Board of Trustees for Kingswood University convened in October with a special time of prayer for President Steve & Eileen Lennox as they prepare to enter retirement on June 30, 2025. A significant portion of our fall session involved the composition and approval of the necessary guiding documentation prescribed by our Presidential Succession Plan.

The Presidential Search Committee
is still accepting applications

  • Just because joy is a choice doesn’t mean you can choose to feel joyful. Joy is not embodied cognition. You receive it as a gift but you have to open it to experience it. (Marc Jolicoeur)
  • If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. (Jesus – ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭10‬-‭11,‬ ‭NRSV‬‬)

Lily Has A New Ride!

Meet Lily.

She is just one of the impressive leaders of The Wesleyan Church of Bangladesh. Cornerstone Wesleyan (Denn Guptill) stepped up earlier this year to upgrade Lily’s bicycle which she was using to travel dozens of kilometres each day with the early childhood education ministry the Church provides in the region. CLICK HERE to read more about what just a few dollars in global partnership can do!

  • As District Director of Global Partners Denn Guptill continues to recruit and prepare to lead another team to return in February 2026, we have received word about an excellent Christmas Project you and your church family may consider a worthy partnership for the season of giving ahead.
  • CLICK HERE for all the details of Christmas Celebration Project – 2024!

National Superintendent George Bose shared, “Your support will be a great blessing to our church members, community and ministry. We know that the total estimated budget for Christmas Celebration 2024 of $4,450 USD sounds like a huge amount but to God, it is nothing but a number. We believe Almighty God will provide all our needs in His time. We are praying and giving the projects to His hand and also believe that according to His will, we will be able to extend our hands and bring smiles, joy and happiness to many people who have never experienced the Love of God in such a way.”
