Atlantic Connexion

Deep Water BLT (Timothy & McCaila Andrews) had an exciting Sunday. The Andrews shared, “We baptized 5 people this morning in BLT! New Jesus followers, preteens who grew up in church, some discovering/rediscovering faith, some in the midst of grief.

  • All, moving testimonies of Jesus being present in their stories & the hope of faith. There were a few moments this week with the baptism candidates where the Holy Spirit was uniquely present. We were moved by the significance and power of those moments and honoured to be a part of them.”

John Sherwood (Crosspoint) also had the privilege this Sunday of baptising the young lady pictured top right – PTL! Every number has a name and every name a story of Spirit transformation.

This past Sunday was an enormous milestone in the history of Encounter (Jim Agrell). In lieu of lighting a flame, a ceremonial paper shredder was used on the mortgage document to officially celebrate the end of 40 years of debt – PTL! National Superintendent Steve Elliott preached a powerful salvation message as the debt has been paid on far more than just a building. It was an exciting day as Head Trustee Kerry Allison shared the history of 40 years of leadership to bring the church to this happy crossroads into a new chapter. Congratulations to Jim and his team and the Encounter family!
