Atlantic Connexion

Harvest Conference began more than a decade ago for women all over Atlantic Canada to come together and worship God. The largest-ever Christian ladies conference in Eastern Canada took place this weekend in Moncton in partnership with Tidal (Jim Clements) & Kings (Brent Ingersoll) with 1,100 women from 126 churches all crying out one Name – Jesus!

  • CLICK HERE for pics and updates from this amazing weekend! Thanks to all those who worked so hard to make this spiritual reality in our region.

The 2024 Fredericton Youth Rally (FYR) engaged 25 church youth groups for an incredible night this weekend of worship & The Word. This was the third year for this regional youth event and the evidence of Kingdom unity around our shared mission continues to grow for His glory!

  • Luke Budreau (Journey) shared, “It was a year of great kingdom collaboration with growth in every statistic! We had Corbett and Journey represented in the planning committee as well as Baptist churches and we were hosted by a local non-denominational church.” More than 530 gathered including youth pastors/leaders, volunteers, and worship team.
Thanks to all those who enjoy reading this weekly communication from my desk to our pastoral team. If you are a lay leader in your church family, please CLICK HERE and make sure you play your part to encourage your church to honour your pastor(s) this month.
CenterPoint Wesleyan Worship Team
It was Pastoral Installation Sunday for Rev. Amy (Travis) Taylor in Havelock, NB. as she was formally welcomed by CenterPoint Wesleyan as Lead Pastor.
Amy grew up in this church and community and the CenterPoint family is excited to have Amy & Travis and their son James to provide spiritual leadership in these continued days of post-pandemic rebuilding. Welcome home, Amy!

The Board of Trustees for Kingswood University convened last week for our two-day fall retreat. The meeting begin with a special time of prayer for President Steve & Eileen Lennox as they prepare to enter retirement on June 30, 2025. A significant portion of our fall session involved the composition and approval of the necessary guiding documentation prescribed by our Presidential Succession Plan.

The President’s team planned an enjoyable road trip to Bouctouche which included a sunny stroll on the ocean boardwalk, a private service in the Irving Chapel, and an unforgettable Acadian dinner experience complete with music, cultural cuisine, and a history lesson – all provided by Eglise de la Grace (a thriving church of the Maritimes District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada with Lead Pastor Troy Matchett).

  • And speaking of our amazing Pentecostal brothers and sisters…
The three-day Atlantic Soul Care Conference begins today (October 22-24) at Glad Tidings Church in Moncton as registration opens @ 12:30 p.m. with the first session @ 1:15 p.m. This first-ever combined District Ministerial between our respective pastoral teams will be a meaningful time for encouraging one another as we invite the Spirit’s work in our lives under the ministry of Dr. Rob Reimer.

Each pre-registered participant will receive a lanyard name card upon arrival as illustrated above with Lead Pastor Amanda Oicle. Amanda & BJ have just returned to the Atlantic region to provide leadership to our restart of Norton Wesleyan.

  • CLICK HERE if you missed yesterday’s heartfelt summary in WesLife of the Oicle’s ministry challenges in recent years church planting in Boston. We are so blessed to have them on the Atlantic team!

  • Dying with Christ – Living with Hope presents a hope-filled perspective on a universal experience. The discussion, led by theologians and healthcare professionals, will give timeless perspectives on suffering, grief, dying, our duty to care, and how dying with Christ is attainable for everyone.

CMDA Canada is offering the opportunity to take Dying with Christ – Living with Hope with our team online. In addition to experiencing this life changing course, attending these sessions will equip you to run this program in your own local settings (i.e. church, community centre, or online venues).
