87. It’s a big number – but best of all every number has a name and every name has a Gospel story of transformation. This weekend Kings (Brent Ingersoll) celebrated 87 baptisms across five Kingdom locations – PTL! One of those who entered the sacramental waters was our niece (pictured above). Family is first-ministry and nothing is better in our Kingdom labours than seeing our loved ones embrace their own journey with Jesus!

  • Kings Church has been serving its communities for a decade with an annual Love Week. Funds are raised on one Sunday, and then every penny is given away over the next week followed by a celebration of how the seeds of God’s love were sown. This past week, more than $250K was given away – incredible! The sacrificial generosity of our Kngs family has tangibly invested over $2M of Christ’s love into the lives of others.

Nathan (Vicky) Maskery (pictured upper right with their three youngest of six children) was installed this weekend as Lead Pastor of our Deep Water locations in Halifax. Nathan shared, “Sunday was a special day for me, it was my official installation as lead pastor of DW and also our annual Fall Fair celebration. It is an absolute joy to step into the lead role of a church that is already on mission with Jesus! God is up to stuff in the HRM!”
  • Timothy & McCaila Andrews serve as Site Pastors of the BLT location (a suburb of HRM) which was launched in the fall of 2022. They have built an impressive team of volunteers each year to serve their community with a free Fall Fair. This year they had 109 volunteers and more than 2500 guests over four hours on Sunday afternoon.
The Andrews shared, ““We’ve been so blown away by how God continues to work through this event. This year, 37 local businesses contributed over $18,000 to make the BLT community Fall Fair happen, including over $11,000 in prizes that went directly back into our community.
  • Three of the sixteen people on our Core Planning Team this year became part of our BLT church community because they came to the Fall Fair in 2022 and 2023; two of them were introduced to Jesus for the first time at our church this year and are planning to be baptized this fall.
From the number of partners and prizes to the Kingdom celebrations, we’re seeing how showing up with the consistent, surprising love of Jesus makes a difference.” Way to go to Timothy & McCaila and all those in the DW family who made this possible!
Formerly Known as Moncton Wesleyan!

A powerful new vision was cast by Lead Pastor Jim Clements this Sunday as our historic Moncton Wesleyan Church became Tidal Church! A third location in Shediac will officially launch next Sunday with Campus Pastor Austin White (in addition to the adoption of Miramichi Wesleyan – now Tidal-Miramichi with Campus Pastor Sam Prime).

  • In the years ahead, our Tidal family will continue to launch new Kingdom locations on the east coast and north shore of New Brunswick with a particular calling to the Acadian community. CLICK HERE for the Facebook post sharing this exciting announcement!

Woodstock Wesleyan (Dale MacDonald) held a free Fall Fun Fest for the community in Connell Park and had a photobooth, lawn games, BBQ, theatre popcorn, balloon animals and a draw for a free family movie night with snacks included. A great cross section of the community was served and the best part was everything was free! Another excellent example of the church going outside its walls to serve others with the love of Christ!
Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief Opportunity
Hurricane Helene made landfall on Thursday, September 26th leaving a wake of devastation in its path. World Hope International (Canada) is partnering directly with Wesleyan Churches and districts in the southeast United States to assist with urgent and immediate needs in their communities.
  • Jerry Lumston, District Superintendent of The North Carolina West District, shares, “Conditions are severe in many of the areas. Power has been out since Friday and some communities are receiving estimates for restoration that are in the 2-6 week range. Water treatment plants were overwhelmed and drinking water is a top priority. The situation is complicated by a lack of phone service and many are still unable to reach family and relatives to find out if they are okay.”

Some Wesleyan churches have been completely destroyed while others have damage that will need repair.  Other churches are not damaged, but the homes of their congregants have been. 23 Years of Well Walks in the Name of Jesus!
Nackawic Wesleyan (Ryan Farrell) held its 23rd annual well walk on Sunday, September 22. This year’s walk was in honour of 135 years of ministry for Nackawic Wesleyan and was also held in memory of 7 people connected to the church who had passed away this year.
  • Tanya Nace, CEO of World Hope International, shared stories from Sierra Leone and videos from people who had received water due to Nackawic’s generosity year after year.
Tanya also shared this personal update from the 4th Lausanne Conference (Sep 22-28) which was last held in 2010:
I virtually attended the Fourth Lausanne Congress in Seoul, South Korea – the largest gathering of evangelicals worldwide. We heard sobering news on the state of Christianity: it is growing but not as fast as the world’s population.  We heard exhortation on the importance of unity among Christians and the need to move from clergy-based ministry to “every-person” ministry.”  If discipleship is the heart of the church, is the heart beating?
  • The Gospel is a precious treasure preached to all nations, and we must remain faithful regardless of the cost; it speaks into the lives of complicated people who live in a complex world. We took time to name and ask for the Lord’s mercy among believers in the 50 most persecuted countries. We heard that persecution never kills the church, but a compromised gospel will. We also met business owners who are taking Jesus to their workplace. Your workplace is holy ground, and you are a priestly presence in your workplace.

Haitian Wesleyan Missionaries in New Assignment
Meet Wendel & Yolie Etienne (and their son Hudson). They arrived in Burkina Faso five years ago and have served faithfully in providing leadership to the expansion of new Wesleyan Kingdom locations during their oversight of this work. God has opened a door for the next chapter of their ministry in the Democratic Republic of Congo as trainers at a missionary school for French-speaking African workers.
  • CLICK HERE to read the full story of this exciting day in which missionaries are being sent from “everywhere to everywhere” in preparing workers for the harvest in French speaking countries.
The Etienne’s only need $12K USD in support to complete their fundraising to relocate their family and fund the beginning of their ministry in the DRC. CLICK HERE to provide support for this strategic investment of their leadership in raising up new African missionaries for French people groups.
NS Pastors Connection Night
Cornerstone (Denn Guptill) hosted a rare opportunity this Friday for NS Wesleyan pastors to gather for a meal and time of fellowship. It was an encouraging evening to share personal updates and to spur one another on in our shared mission as new relationships were deepened.
