Westchester Wesleyan Baptism!

Westchester (Sharon Simoneau) celebrated a baptism at Wentworth Park this weekend! Sharon shared, “She gave her life to Christ this past spring and shared a moving testimony before stepping into the waters of baptism. God is at work in Westchester!”

Only 31 to go to meet the Caton’s Island 2025 Vision!
MEN! There’s still time to sign up for our Men’s Weekend from September 13-14th! We are so close to our goal of 2025 campers by the year 2025, and we only need 31 more men to sign up to make that goal! Share this with your friends, family, neighbours, and church family – all the information about RESOLUTE is listed below in Upcoming Events.
Framework (Jason Blaikie) held its annual all church celebration this weekend with the unique opportunity to honor Debbie Rooney who has retired after serving as Children’s Pastor for 20 years. Debbie has been (and continues to be) an incredible gift to the Kingdom – well done and congratulations!
  • Jason shared, “After celebrating a family who were baptized we also commissioned three new pastors at Framework. Pastor David (Vicki) Rowe who is now officially appointed as a Framework Pastor as well as Hub Coffee’s General Manager, Pastor Sue (Ron) Morneault was commissioned as a Lay Pastor at and is also pursuing credentialing, and also Pastor Isaac (Bonnie)Ashby who is now on as our young adults pastor. The service was full of joy from beginning to end. So great to celebrate God today.”
The Kingswood University‘s annual Golf Classic on Friday @ the Sussex Golf Club set another fundraising record for the 5th consecutive year. President Steve Lennox shared, “We had 110 golfers (our goal was 100) and raised over $76,513! Thanks to everyone involved, especially Debbie Benson and Dean Brown, our new Director of Donor and Alumni Engagement.”
  • Saint John First (Graham Perry) entered 5 teams in the tournament and raised a total of $7,800. Nathan Perry took the prize for top fundraiser, raising over $3,000! Impressive work everyone – such a great day to raise money for Kingdom work – every dollar goes to provide student scholarships each fall semester.

My Monthly “Pastor Cluster”
It was good to reconnect after summer with our Northeast DS Zoom last week. I love that we are not only called to share in the cause of Jesus’ Gospel, we are equally called to share in the community of the Body of Christ. As our pastors know, Pastor Clusters will resume in November and will engage with follow-up from our three-day Soul Care Conference in October. If you were not in a monthly Pastor Cluster and would like to join one beginning in November, CLICK HERE.
Kings – St. Stephen (Pete Stubbs) held a Ladies Outreach at the range last week! Pete shared, “I was so impressed with these ladies, so many great shooters! Not only that, they brought such great excitement, encouragement and joy as they came together. A privilege for me to be able to be part of this day!”

Young Adults Headed to College?

If you have students from your church that are heading to university or college this fall, you know that their faith will be tested in critical ways over the next number of months. The pressures they face could honestly end up breaking down the faith that they’ve built during their years in your church family.

  • But that doesn’t have to be the story. In fact, recent research shows that if someone from your church helps to build a bridge to Christian community in a student’s new town, the likelihood they’ll stay connected to the local church is doubled! It’s for that reason that Jeremy MacDonald (Moncton) has put together the resources to do that in a unique and special way — by inviting your graduating students to become Post-Secondary Missionaries. Sent from your church to their new communities.

Everything you need is located in this folder: https://bit.ly/3gnm7hU. You can also reach out to Jeremy with any questions or help you’d like with your youth ministry as his organization, the Youth Worker Community, is helping churches across our country better disciple students each week. He can be reached at jeremy@youthworker.community.

Here are the churches by location of some of our key universities/colleges in the region…
