Atlantic Connexion

A Transformed Life = Bullseye!
  • You would be hard pressed to find anyone on the Atlantic District who loves Beulah Family Camp more than I do. But celebrating the past week here in Browns Flat will have to wait for just a moment.

One of the most important Kingdom events in our district this weekend was captured in the picture above. Brian started coming to West Head (Vince Robertson) the Sunday after Easter.

  • Vince shared, “Brian said,  ‘I gave my heart to Jesus in the hospital. Can I come to church?’ They had told him he had cancer, but now they can’t find any! God is faithful!” And this Sunday, Vince had the eternal privilege of leading him into the waters of baptism – PTL!

Vince spent tireless hours serving behind the scenes keeping the Tabernacle clean and then headed home for this exciting day! Leaders like Vince Robertson make our Atlantic Team stronger.

  • Every number has a name. Every name has a story that matters for eternity and brings God glory. And this past church year, the Kingdom locations of our district experienced a 39% increase in baptisms.

On Saturday morning, Amy Taylor (new Lead Pastor in Havelock, NB @ CenterPoint Wesleyan) led a baptism service at the Beulah beach. Several pastors took part in celebrating EIGHT baptisms! This included Peter Hayes (Solid Rock) baptizing his grandson Zach. ‘Twas a powerful morning in worship and witness as shown in the first couple of pictures…

Altar calls. Kids saved during VBS. A Men’s B’fast on Caton’s Island. A second family weekend focus with the introduction of Family Camp Out and Splash Saturday.

  • Amazing activities, events, food, and services for every generation. We were so well led by our Executive Director Tami and her massive team. The fresh awakening by the Spirit’s transforming work through Kyle Ray & Darren Campbell is now another standing stone in our spiritual heritage.

District Conference took on an improved format with a few changes. The Ordination Service unleashed six new Reverends into our Ministerial Tribe. Rev. Arnold Stairs “rang the bell” with a fitting word for the Class of 2024 out of his 75-year milestone of Ordained Ministry celebrated this year.

In light of the significant contribution of Mrs. Vesta Mullen to our historic connections, please note the following opportunities our Atlantic District family will have to honour her memory.
  • Vesta’s Celebration of Life will be live-streamed from Houghton Wesleyan Church this Friday (July 19th) at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. CLICK HERE to access the YouTube Channel of Houghton Wesleyan Church.
A second service will be offered in the Beulah Tabernacle at 11:00 a.m. Atlantic Time on Wednesday, August 7th. This will be followed by an Interment at Browns Flat cemetery and a lunch at the Beulah Dining Hall.
  • CLICK HERE for her obituary with opportunity to share words of tribute and support. A Book of Condolence is available in the Mullen Heritage Archives if you are on the campgrounds. This will be given to Laurence on August 7th.

The Mullen family extends a warm invitation to all who would like to attend either service.

  • If you haven’t learned how to love people – you’re shipwrecked. (Arnold Stairs)
  • Sometimes when God asks you a question, there’s a miracle on the other side. (Kyle Ray)
  • You were not built to be lord of your life. Yield. Allow the heaviest thing to be the heaviest thing. Be emptied so that you can be filled – so that you can be poured out. (Darren Campbell)
