Monday Again

The 70th graduation exercises of Kingswood University were held over the weekend. Ed Stetzer of Lifeway Resources and Joel Cumberbatch, General Superintendent of the Caribbean General Conference were the Baccalaureate and Commencement speakers and received honourary degrees as well.  We also bid farewell to President and Mrs Gorveatte and expressed our deep appreciation for their investment in and leadership of KU. He will assume his new assignment as DS of the Indiana Central District next month.

Included in the weekend activities was the dedication and renaming of the newly renovated faculty house. Edgett Hall has been named in honour of Dean and Elizabeth Edgett who have promoted and represented the university across the years with passion and energy.  Their fund raising success has been a significant blessing to the university.

During the General Board meeting in Buffalo, NY last week, we visited four ministry sites of our church in the city including a health clinic, a church plant, a Houghton College extension location and an inner-city church/community location. Grace Community Church is ministering in amazing ways in the community including allowing the use of our building for three other congregations to meet there – great Kingdom model for us all.

Congrats to Pastors Brad and Tracey Eisan and Ingomar Faith for being the first church of our tribe to complete the 2015 online statistical report. Thanks in advance to all of the pastors who are going to promptly follow the Ingomar example. Cheers!
